You are responsible for compliance
Invoice numbering rules, mandatory tax fields (such as VAT/GST registration numbers), retention periods, and required disclosures vary by country, state/province, and industry. Calculations are only as accurate as your inputs
Our calculation engine performs rounding-safe arithmetic on the numbers you enter (quantities, rates, discounts, tax percentages, shipping, and so on). If the numbers you enter are incorrect, or if you select a tax rate or setting that doesn't match your actual obligation, the resulting totals will be incorrect too. Always review the final preview carefully before sending an invoice to a customer or downloading it as a PDF.
Templates are visual designs, not legal forms
The 50+ templates available on the Service are visual layouts. Selecting a template labeled for a particular use case (for example, a template tagged "international-trade" or "medical") does not guarantee that the resulting document meets every regulatory field requirement for that use case in your jurisdiction — you remain responsible for entering the correct and complete data.
