Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

We keep cookie usage on FreeOnlineInvoice.com to a minimum. Most of what feels like "settings being remembered" — your saved invoice drafts, template favorites, and editor preferences — is actually stored using your browser's local storage, not cookies. This page explains the difference and lists everything we do use.

Strictly necessary cookies

Name / purpose What it does Expiry
Session / CSRF token Protects form submissions (like the contact form and PDF download request) from cross-site request forgery. Required for the Service to function securely. End of browser session

These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality, and they do not track you across other websites.

Local storage (not a cookie, but similar in spirit)

The Service uses your browser's localStorage to save invoice drafts, your recently used template, and favorited templates directly on your device. This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly submit it (for example, by clicking "Download PDF"). You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings ("Clear site data" or "Clear browsing data" for this site) or by using the Service's own "Clear draft" option where available.

Analytics cookies

We may use privacy-conscious analytics that either avoid cookies entirely or use short-lived, non-identifying cookies to measure aggregate traffic patterns (which pages are visited, roughly how often). If this changes to use a more invasive tracking cookie in the future, this page will be updated to disclose it before it's deployed.

No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking technology.

How to control cookies

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings menu. Blocking the strictly necessary session cookie described above may prevent form submissions (like downloading a PDF or sending a contact message) from working correctly.
